Gloria M. Garcia

Attorney, Gloria M. Garcia is a member of the Florida Bar for over 20 years and focuses her practice to worker’s compensation claims where she represents employees involved in work injuries. She was a founding member and past President of the Miami Lakes Bar Association and was a board member for 15 years. She has also been a member of Florida Workers’ Advocates, dedicating herself to the legal representation of injured workers. She has also been invited on TV workers compensation panelist and political correspondent. She also dedicates her spare time to volunteering at our local schools and training middle school students and local law school students for Mock Trial Competitions. Gloria was also invited to speak at the St Thomas Law School as a guest panelist. In addition, she was also the Charitable Committee Chair and member of the Richard A. Sicking Inn of Court, to promote professionalism within the legal field.

Mrs. Garcia served as Chair of Relay for Life of Miami Lakes for 3 years fundraising for the American Cancer Society and served as ACT Lead for Congressional district 25 and plays a critical role in helping the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network impact public policy to the benefit of cancer patients, their families and survivors. Ms. Garcia was then promoted to State Lead Ambassador for Florida in 2021 being honored as the first Hispanic in the state lead position. She helped implement local, state or federal advocacy and serves as the key contact for their member of Congress and for other volunteers. Her zealous representation brought her to Washington DC to advocate for legislation with members of Congress. In 2021, Ms. Garcia won the State Lead of the Year award for her advocacy efforts and was honored with the Marc Kaplan 2022, Media star distinction.

Locally, Mrs. Garcia was awarded the Women of Distinction 2017 Business award by the Town of Miami Lakes for her involvement in the legal field and in her community and again won the Women of Distinction 2020 Humanitarian Award. She was also a recipient of the Mayoral Proclamation naming January 17th as Gloria Garcia day in the Town of Miami Lakes.
